Budding, aspiring and even established artists struggle with confidence in their skills. Starting with stick figures helps you develop drawing skills. They are fun, simple and a great way to capture action in your characters.
Being good and fast at drawing stick figures is a skill that is well worth the effort and is an indispensable tool in the cartoonist's tool kit. In this video I go over techniques to build strong skeletons and put them to good use. Enjoy!
HOW TO BUILD A SKELETON
1. Draw the Spine to capture general movement. 2. Add ovals for the Head-Torso-Pelvis. 3. Add Lines for Shoulders & attach Arms and Legs. Stick to stick figures until you can stick them anywhere, anyway you want
