We had the pleasure and privilege to participate in the annual Career Day held at the Marietta Center for Advanced Academics (MCAA). Ananya & I along with other parents set up a booth and shared insights about our careers. Students from third to fifth grade came by and asked us about our jobs and the nature of our career. The older students even dressed to impressed and brought their resumes and samples of their art to share. It was an impressive experience. The parents and other participants had their own presentations as well. Some were in their uniforms and were performing demonstrations of their specialties and were giving away goodies of the students to take with them. Prime Vice Studios #PVSketch Challenge We had stickers featuring our original characters and encouraged students to participate in our #PVSketch challenge. Many students were thrilled to show off their drawing talents: It was amazing to see the eagerness of the students. They genuinely had an avid interest in their futures, diverse interests and hobbies, and were open-minded to expanding their possibilities through the development of their natural talents. Some students had a love and passion for art writing and drawing. Speaking with Ananya and I broadened their horizons and infused them with a new confidence. The excitement in seeing them participate in our sketch challenge was precious.
It’s not common to see artists at this career day, but it was definitely popular! We hope to continue our work as arts integrators for educational purposes. I believe it is incredibly important to incorporate arts as a major component of education. It is an incredible outlet and platform for the development of critical thinking skills, problem solving skills, making individuals well rounded and better citizens. Thank you once again to the MCAA for hosting us. Peace, Carlos “Loso” Perez, MFA About Marietta Center for Advanced Academics (MCAA) MCAA is an amazing establishment:

A couple of years ago I wanted to make it possible to grow the company’s brand awareness and also build a community. I brainstormed making a marketing campaign that could also be a cross promotion for all people involved. The #PVSketch Challenge was born. Prime Vice Studios made its first public appearance at Heroes’ Con 2016. We brought a stack of these sheets and collected art from artists, convention visitors and children who loved drawing. Since then we have continued collecting drawings from patrons at all of our events and will continue to do so. From these drawings we have built an online community of artists across social media where you can find young talent to seasoned veterans to follow. I’d like to continue growing the #PVSketch community with as many artists as possible. If you’d like to be part of the movement. Check out the rules of the game below & bless one of the sketch sheets by downloading your own. #PVSKETCH CHALLENGE RULES
Heroes Con 2016Sol-Con 2017Mini Con 2018ASIFA South July Mixer 2018General Assembly Comic WorkshopMiscellaneousThe Association International Due Film D’ Animation (ASIFA) invited us to be special guests for their month mixer at the JoyStick GameBar. A cozy hip space for drinks, games and good times. ASIFA was started in France in 1960 as a membership animation organization for artists, and now has over 50 chapters around the world. ASIFA-Atlanta (ASIFA South) started in 1995 and is the only chapter in the South. They offer animation screenings and educational programs year-round. On July 25, 2018 we did a special presentation talking about who we are and what we do. It was a great chance to create new connections and continue to build our talented community. It was a great turnout and we had a good time. The attendees of various backgrounds and expertise were curious of the type of work we do and were inspired by the activities that we have participated including working with non-profit organizations, creating original content & characters, starting social media movements, and doing positive work getting involved in community development. For Black History Month I started an art challenge called #BAMruary. I invited the world to participate in celebrating Black History Month through sharing their talents. The challenge was to create one piece of art for each day of the month while honoring something about Black Awareness. I focused on portraits which included historical figures, influential individuals and fictional characters of the African Diaspora- primarily of the Afro-Latinx descent. I can proudly say that I upheld and completed the challenge with flying colors along with other talented folks who brought their own flair. Please enjoy this gallery of the pieces completed. Biographies were all written by Ananya Vahal. All pieces were created using the Comic Draw App. BAMRUARY ART GALLERYPeace, Loso special thanks to our official sponsor plasq follow on us social media! @Prime_Vice #primevice @AnanyaVahal @Plasq @ComicDrawApp #comicdraw #startyourcomictoday @ComicConnect In 2016 we started the #PVSKETCH drawing challenge. The intention was to collect drawings from artists and post them on social media to create an online gallery and community with the hashtag pvsketch. It's a collaborative promotion where the artist gets to draw what they want, include their social media handle and personal hashtag on the sketch sheet that features our social media and hashtag as well.
We started this campaign at Prime Vice Studios' first convention appearance which was Heroes Con 2016 in Charlotte, North Carolina. We collected over 40 drawings featuring eager kids' drawings and the amazing talent found in the Artist Alley. We appreciate all the submissions and hope to continue growing this community over time. Please glance through the gallery and find new favorite artists! Peace, Loso PS. For more info on Heroes Con checkout www.heroesonline.com/heroescon/ The campaign is ongoing so please feel free to join the #pvsketch community! follow #pvsketch twitter Follow #pvsketch Instagram One of Prime Vice's ongoing campaigns is the #pvsketch challenge. We hand an artist one of our sketch sheets and they draw whatever they want on it. There is a space to put in your social media handle and your own hashtag. We then post the drawings on social media and tag them. It is a way to promote both the artist and ourselves while creating an online community of artists. At our visit to Columbus, Ohio for Sol-Con 2017 and Columbus Cartoon Crossroads (CXC 2017), we collected over 80 drawings ranging from elementary school kids to living legends of the comic industry.
